Belize Wildlife & Maya Mountain Conservation Ultra Challenge 2025

Belize Wildlife Conservation Ultra Marathon

From the organizers of Race for Conservation and the Chiquibul Challenge Marathon: the Maya Mountain & Conservation Ultra Challenge is Belize’s first Ultra Marathon for Conservation, covering
~250 km in 4 days.

We at MAHO on Earth are thrilled to partner with the Belize Wildlife Clinic and support the mission to highlight the beauty and importance of the Maya Mountains and Mountain Pine Ridge; encourage fitness and fundraise for conservation.

The race route will include sites like: 1000 feet falls, Big Rock Falls, Rio On Pools, Bald Hills, Rio Frio Cave and many more. There will be added challenges (e.g. count the most waterfalls, collect book pages and picture yourself in nature) and hikers will be encouraged to join as well. A variety of fun activities for all ages, including carnival games, face painting, and a bouncy castle, as well as live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by local performers.

Note: The “Barkley Marathons” is used as an inspiration to create one of the hardest races for ultra runners, yet the entire race is safe and inclusive that YOU can participate in hiking or team options even if you can’t run 100+ Miles🙂

This is a challenge like no other, promising both awe-inspiring scenery and a profound connection to nature.

Registration details will be announced soon, but you can start gearing up now for an unparalleled adventure, especially through the majestic Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve.
